Summer Trainee, Packaging Development

As Summer trainee, Packaging Development, you will be working to collect packaging material documents and update the information to our data systems according to the specification process. Your main duty is updating the Declaration of Compliance documents for Confectionery packaging materials from various packaging material suppliers, saving them into assigned system and keeping track of the work being done.  

You have also the chance to familiarize yourself with other packaging specifications data and other supporting tasks in Fazer Confectionery Packaging Development team.   

Your position will be located in Lappeenranta or in Vantaa, where we mainly work onsite. The position is a fixed-term summer job from May-June until the end of August-September.

The role in question is a salaried position under the collective agreement for salaried employees in the food industry. The base salary of this position is between 2000 € - 2800 € / month depending on the knowledge and professional experience of the selected candidate. In addition, we offer a range of benefits including for example discounts to Fazer products. 

What you'll bring to the team

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to have or be studying towards relevant university or university of applied sciences degree e.g. in business, engineering, food sciences or packaging technology.  You have good IT and MS Office skills especially in Excel and you learn new systems quickly. SAP user experience is seen as a benefit. You have structured and detailed way of working, you are development oriented, proactive and with get-things-done attitude. You have good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English, other languages (e.g. Swedish) are benefit.
