We Are Hiring: Product Developer – Plant-Based Food

Location: Tingsryd, Sweden 

Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary replacement role (approx. 1 year)

Department: Product Development

We are looking for a Product Developer for a temporary position (approximately one year), with a passion for plant-based innovation. In this role, you will join a dedicated team working to develop and scale up high-quality food products that meet modern consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and refine plant-based products with strong sensory and culinary performance

· Apply food science principles to ensure product quality, stability, texture, and taste

· Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and development opportunities

· Ensure compliance with food regulations and labelling requirements

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sourcing, production, marketing, and sales

· Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and cost analysis

· Document and follow up on all steps in the product development process

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field

· 3–5 years of experience in plant-based product development

· Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, emulsification, and food chemistry

· Experience with food safety regulations and quality assurance

· Excellent project management and communication skills

· Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive

· Proficient in both written and spoken - Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with plant-based drinks, cooking products and or nutritional products

· Skills in sensory evaluation methodologies

The base salary for this position is between SEK 36,300 and 39,500 per month, depending on the selected candidate’s skills and experience. The role also includes an incentive program (determined annually by Fazer) with a target level corresponding to 8% of the annual salary.
