Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing

As Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing, you will be at the forefront of driving Fazer Confectionery’s growth through strong and capable external manufacturing partnerships. You will own the end-to-end management of selected suppliers and play a pivotal role in assessing and developing supplier capabilities for Outsourcing and NPI projects. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will help translate Fazer’s strategy into scalable supplier performance and a future proof supply chain.

To uphold Fazer standards, you ensure that suppliers are fully aligned with Fazer’s Quality and Food Safety requirements. This role holds significant responsibility in new supplier introduction and capability evaluation for Outsourcing and NPI projects, ensuring completion of all required background checks, onboarding activities, and compliance requirements.

Guiding internal and external stakeholders through clear translation of business objectives into supply management requirements and ensuring alignment across functions, is a key responsibility of this role. Other responsibilities include steering and owning business requirements and targets related to Contract Manufacturing agreements, executing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and driving continuous improvement through Outsourcing and Contract Manufacturing roadmaps. You will also monitor and follow up on product profitability.

You will lead project management and scheduling in alignment with target launch windows, ensuring supplier readiness and on time execution. This includes close collaboration with R&D, marketing, quality and procurement during project execution and throughout the partnership.

This is a permanent position, located in our office in Vantaa, where we work mainly on-site.

What you’ll bring to the team?

You possess a strong knowledge of supplier operations, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes, along with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across complex internal and external stakeholder networks. You tolerate complexity and uncertainty well, make decisions based on facts and have the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

You demonstrate the ability to lead without formal authority, influencing outcomes through collaboration, clarity, and strong stakeholder management. You have experience in driving change, implementing structured processes, and continuously improving operational performance.

This role requires willingness to travel internationally, approximately 30-50 days a year.

We expect you to have:

• minimum 5 years of experience preferably in contract manufacturing, other experience such as supply chain management, procurement or R&D is considered beneficial
• experience in food industry or other regulated industry
• academic degree in engineering, food technology, economics or other relevant field
• experience in industrial environment
• fluency in English language, other languages are an asset
