Procurement Summer Trainee

As a procurement trainee you will have various procurement-related support duties, such as maintaining and managing data in different procurement systems, setting up tender rounds in the electronic tendering system and participating in small procurement development projects, depending on your level of expertise. The role will give you a solid and comprehensive understanding of the processes and duties related to procurement and how our organisation contributes to Fazer's daily business.

We are offering two fixed-term summer positions located in Vantaa, both designed to give you hands-on experience in a meaningful role within a supportive team. The first position begins in April 2026, and the second starts in May 2026. Both roles continue until the end of August 2026, giving you the opportunity to grow your skills over the full summer season.

Procurement provides a broad and unique understanding of our business, as it involves strategic decision-making, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration. Moreover, the importance of a well-functioning procurement organisation has been highlighted during recent years’ supply chain uncertainties and an inflationary environment, as ensuring business continuity, risk mitigation and cost optimization has become more crucial. In Procurement, as a Group-level organisation, you'll get insights to all of Fazer's business areas (Confectionery, Bakery and Lifestyle Foods).

Our Development team is responsible for various tasks and projects within and outside of the procurement organisation (analytics, spend forecasting, commodity desk, risk management, process & tools development etc.). Depending on your own interests we’d love to involve you and give you insights into any of these. 

This role is a salaried position under the ETL/Pro Food Industry collective agreement. The base salary of this position is between 2500 – 3100 €/ month depending on the knowledge and professional experience of the selected candidate. What do we hope you will bring to the team?

The first position is designed especially for someone who is about to complete their studies in Supply Chain Management or Procurement and who already has some work experience or prior exposure to procurement, either through jobs, internships, or academic projects. This role gives you the opportunity to deepen your skills and apply what you’ve learned in a setting where you can take on more responsibility as your confidence grows. The position runs from April 2026 until the end of August.

The second position is specifically targeted at a soon‑to‑graduate Supply Chain Management or Procurement student who is looking for their very first opportunity to work in an office environment. This role begins in May 2026 and provides an excellent starting point for stepping into working life.

In addition, we hope you have good IT skills, such as Excel and/or SAP or Power BI, a problem‑solving attitude, and the ability to work independently. What matters most is your genuine interest in procurement and the knowledge you’ve built through your studies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will help you succeed. English is mandatory, and Finnish or Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
